If you are wondering what the BTB is all about after “Washed”, that’s a good question. BTB stands for By the Blood. Washed has been a clothing store business name that I have loved for a bit now, but the BTB came about a little later. I thought Washed was a great name that meant a few things; of course you wash your clothes, there are different washes of denim, but honestly the most important “Washed” is by the blood of Jesus Christ. When Josh was trying to create an e-mail address, washed@gmail.com had been taken so I sat there for a whole three seconds and said BTB. He said, “by the blood” and that was that. Washed BTB, LLC came to life. Thankfully I couldn’t just used “Washed”, the BTB after is what this life is really all about.
1 John 1:7-9 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
I am married to the love of my life, Josh Wilson. We have two kiddos, Knox and Mia Belle. They are 8 and 5 and absolute joys. Josh and I have been married for 10 years. Now some say “happily married” and then fill in the blank of how many years since they said “I do”; however we don’t actually do that. We do say we have been married for 10 years, but happily married, I would say almost 5. The first five years of our marriage was tough (not to say we still don’t have tough moments now, we just turn very quickly to the one who heals). Josh tried to fill a void in alcoholism and I looked to Josh for all my joy. These two things didn’t go hand in hand in making a good marriage or even a marriage at all. We could spend a lot of time ironing that out, and if any of you would like to know more about it or need to talk, we are both here for that. We got help and found our joy in Christ. Through counseling (Dr. Hardin –he’s amazing) and through Jesus, we were able to work really hard to get to where we are today. Thank you, Lord.
